Strong Summer Tourism in Níjar, Almería! And a Growing Destination for Digital Nomads.
Tourism in Níjar started great this summer, according to the latest data from Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE):
🔹 9,285 tourists visited in June, marking a 6.6% increase compared to the same month last year. 🔹 22,385 overnight stays were recorded, a 5% rise compared to 2023. 🔹 Key tourist spots like San José, Agua Amarga, and Las Negras are experiencing positive trends as well.
Off-season growth has also been notable: 🔸 Between January and May 2024, 19,014 travelers visited, with 4,445 international visitors, a 23% increase compared to 2023. 🔸 International overnight stays grew by 27.1%, contributing to a total of 36,496 overnight stays.
